Wow, I hadn't realized how long it's been since I last posted. I've been teaching Kindergarten ,full time at a local Christian School, all of my daughters have been enrolled there also. I guess Iwasn't meant to homeschool this year.... and actually I have really enjoyed it. It's been a LONG time since I've taught in a private school I guess it's been 15 years. With this being our first year, the school attendance is pretty small...we have a total of 20 students from K-12th grades right now. So far things have gone pretty smoothly...we have hit a few bumps in the road, but that is to be expected. I'm excited to be apart of this school....especially with it just starting it out... we will all laugh after the first year is over, we are having to learn all the rules, guidelines, etc right along with the students.
We are trying to come up with some fundraiser ideas to help raise money for the school.. we are planning on a Pie & Cake Auction, doing a monthly dinner at church, taking charge of the Coffee shop/gift shop at church, it's a small shop with mostly handmade items for sale, then we also serve iced coffees, shakes, icecee's, etc.
Well, I better jump off here, I have some sewing to do, some dishes to do, and I really need to get busy!
I hope to check in more often.... I have done some "repurposing" of my furniture...I spray painted some shelves black, painted a antique wooden chest, and so as soon as I can get my camera cord, I will upload some pictures! I am wanting to start decorating for fall soon!

Jackie, thanks for stopping by "the back porch". I just wanted you to know that I have absolutely loved my purse. I've had so many compliments on it. I've told people about your etsy site, so maybe you'll have more orders because of my purse! How cool would that be. Anyway, since school has started for us, I don't get much time online. I haven't checked out your store recently. Anyway, thanks again for the purse, LOVE IT!
